Exhibit A: Although it took me a few tries before I could get through it, <em>For Whom the Bell Tolls<\/em> is now one of my favorite books, as are <em>A Moveable Feast<\/em>\u00a0and <em>The Sun Also Rises<\/em>. I really like the way Hemingway wrote, as well as the themes he touches upon in his writing.<\/p>\n<p>Exhibit B: Consider this picture of my home office:<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/marcfbellemare.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/HomeOffice.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2620\" title=\"HomeOffice\" src=\"http:\/\/marcfbellemare.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/HomeOffice.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"518\" height=\"291\" srcset=\"https:\/\/marcfbellemare.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/HomeOffice.jpg 518w, https:\/\/marcfbellemare.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/HomeOffice-300x168.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 518px) 100vw, 518px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The picture to the left of my\u00a0stand-up\u00a0desk is a picture of Ernest Hemingway.<\/p>\n<p>I was thus very happy to see that the <em>New Yorker<\/em>&#8216;s photo department had assembled a <a title=\"Hemingway in Photographs\" href=\"http:\/\/www.newyorker.com\/online\/blogs\/photobooth\/2011\/06\/ernest-hemingway.html\" target=\"_blank\">series<\/a> of Hemingway photographs last week, on top of publishing a piece of fiction titled\u00a0&#8220;<a title=\"Homage to Hemingway\" href=\"http:\/\/www.newyorker.com\/fiction\/features\/2011\/07\/04\/110704fi_fiction_barnes\" target=\"_blank\">Homage to Hemingway<\/a>&#8221; in this week&#8217;s edition of the magazine.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Those who know me well know that Ernest Hemingway is perhaps my favorite author.
