Why is it that we always take off our sceptical hat whenever it comes to weight-loss methods? Is there any credible scientific evidence that intermittent fasting works? Nope.
Actually, while it is probably true that there is no good evidence on intermittent fasting (IF), there is quite a bit of anecdotal evidence coming from people (like Art De Vany) who have thought quite a bit about weight loss. I’ve done some measure of IF a few years ago, and it did appear to speed up weight loss. Then I quit smoking and gained all the weight back. Maybe it’s time to try again? This time I would randomize over the weeks during which I do it and the weeks during which I don’t. If anything, it could make for a nice blog post (and maybe for nicer beach abs?) come summer ;)
